Know where the work actually came from

Most owners can name their best month.

Far fewer can name the source that paid for it. The spend carries on going to whichever channel someone believes in, and the one that quietly brings the good jobs never gets more. This is the plumbing that answers it: every enquiry tagged with where it came from, every form and call counted the same way, and the numbers landing somewhere you will actually look. From R9,000.

01

What this answers

QuestionWhat makes it answerable
Where did this enquiry come fromEvery form and call carries its source through to your CRM or inbox
Which channel brings the jobs worth havingValue attached to the source, not just the count
How many people started the form and gave upStep by step, so you know which field loses them
Is the campaign actually payingSpend on one side, closed work on the other, same period
Which pages do the persuadingThe pages people read before they enquire, not just the ones they land on
02

What actually gets set up

01

Analytics, configured rather than pasted

A tag on the page counts visits and nothing else. What matters is the events underneath it: form started, form sent, call pressed, quote requested, order placed.

02

Every form tagged at source

The enquiry arrives carrying the channel, the campaign and the page it came from, so nobody has to ask the customer how they found you.

03

Calls counted

A tracked number on the site, so the phone stops being the part of the business nobody can measure.

04

Consent handled properly

POPIA in South Africa, GDPR if you sell into Europe. The banner is wired to the tracking rather than sitting next to it.

05

Tested end to end

We submit real forms and press the real buttons, then check each one arrived and carried its source. This is the step most setups skip, and it is why so many are quietly broken.

06

Checked again after a month

Tracking breaks when the site changes. A check is part of the job, not an extra.

03

How this is usually broken

We see the same four, in roughly this order.

The form was replaced and nobody re-tagged it. Enquiries still arrive, the reporting shows a cliff on the day of the redesign.

Everything is counted as direct. Sources are stripped somewhere between the ad and the form, so the best-performing channel is invisible and the worst keeps its budget.

The phone is not counted at all. In trades, transport and clubs, most enquiries are calls. A setup that only counts forms is measuring the minority.

The consent banner blocks the tracking it was meant to govern. Nothing is recorded, and the numbers look like a bad month rather than a broken tag.

04

What it costs

What you are setting upCost
One site, its forms and call tracking, tested end to endFrom R9,000
Several sources, campaigns and an e-commerce shopR18,000 to R35,000
Adding the numbers to a dashboard you already haveQuoted per job
The monthly check that it is still workingPart of a care plan

You see the number before anything starts. Tracking on its own tells you what happened. Put it next to a dashboard and it tells you what to do about it.

What we can see, and what we never do

We need access to your site, your ad accounts and wherever enquiries land. We take the least access that does the job, in your own accounts, and you can remove it in one click.

We do not sell, share or resell your data. We do not add third-party trackers you did not ask for. Anything we set up, you own, in accounts in your name.

06

Where this sits

Tracking is the first of the three pieces under Measure. It records what happened. Dashboards put those numbers on one page you actually open. Reporting turns them into the pack that goes out at month end.

It is worth doing in that order. A dashboard built on broken tracking is a confident wrong answer, which is worse than no dashboard.
